The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. yesterday in a park in the Yunus Emre neighborhood. Allegedly, Y.İ. approached a 17-year-old boy he had seen several times before and began chatting with him. Shortly after, the boy claimed Y.İ. had sexually assaulted him and began screaming for help.
A local shopkeeper, who heard the noise and went to the park, assaulted the suspect, Y.İ. Police arrived at the scene after receiving a tip-off and rescued the suspect by firing shots into the air from the shopkeeper, who was attempting to lynch him. The suspect, who was taken to the police station by a squad car, was allegedly texting the child beforehand. The moment the locals assaulted Y.İ. was caught on camera.
"WE WITNESSED SEXUALLY CONTENTED MESSAGES"
Neighborhood resident Şahin Uluğ said, "He had been texting the boy on social media before. They blocked him, and then he contacted them again. We saw and read the messages sent before, and we witnessed sexual messages. The man asked for a location, and they sent him the location. Then they started beating him, and he was beaten up pretty good until the officers came and took him away. He kept sending sexual messages. He sent a few single-image photos, but they weren't being opened anyway. We saw and witnessed the sexual messages. After seeing him, people started beating him up pretty bad."
