STATEMENT FROM MINISTER MEMİŞOĞLU
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that intervention efforts regarding forest fires that broke out in different parts of the country continue uninterruptedly. Minister Memişoğlu made the following statement in his post on his social media account:
"We are closely monitoring the process in full coordination with our relevant ministries. Our 112 Emergency Health teams and UMKE teams are on duty in the field. The treatment of 46 citizens affected by the fires continues in our hospitals. The condition of one of our injured remains serious. I pray to God for a speedy recovery for all our injured. 4 FIRES BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL

"WE EVACUATED AROUND 1800 CITIZENS"
Hatay Governor Mustafa Masatlı went to the region and received information about the work from the teams and met with the citizens.

TWO MORE NEIGHBORHOODS WERE EVACUATED DUE TO FIRE

20 HOUSES DAMAGED

"In Sakarya, there are 230 in our 2 neighborhoods,
609 in 7 villages and 10 neighborhoods in Bilecik,
2,936 in 11 neighborhoods in Akhisar district of Manisa province,
42,300 citizens in 6 neighborhoods of Seferihisar district of Izmir province (80% of which are summer houses),
More than 50 thousand citizens from 41 settlements, including 1,500 citizens in 5 neighborhoods in Hatay, were temporarily taken to safe zones.
134 of our citizens who requested accommodation are being hosted in public facilities.
80 PEOPLE AFFECTED BY THE FIRE
79 of our citizens were affected by the fires and were discharged, and 1 citizen continues his treatment in Bilecik.
According to initial determinations;
64 houses, 3 workplaces, 20 barns in Bilecik province
132 houses and 1 workplace were damaged in Izmir province.

1 SUSPECT ARRESTED

Yarıcı, who stated that there was no electricity or water in the site at that time, said, "My wife and I tried to help with pickaxes and shovels. Firefighters tried to save us but it was impossible to reach. It was very bad. We have been in this site since 1999. There are 345 houses in the site and some of them burned. We live in the A-1 section of the site. Our backyard was reduced to ashes."
Efe Can Özdemir said that his father and uncle lived on the site.
Özdemir, who stated that he was not in the site during the fire, said, "My father was the only one at home. He was also evacuated and saved. They had a very hard time explaining, everyone lost their homes. There was a fire in 2009 as well, he had not come to the site. It was smaller. May God not let anyone experience it. Nothing happened to our house in the fire. My father and mother returned to their home."
Muharrem Yarıcı also noted that he tried to help the firefighters all night long.
'OUR 40 YEARS OF MEMORIES HAVE ALL TURNED TO ASHES'
A citizen named Müzeyyen Çağlar Güler, whose house burned down in the fire, said that they were saddened by the destruction of the house where she spent her youth. Güler said, "Our house was destroyed. First of all, we need to think individually and question why we did not take precautions. We all need to learn a lesson from this. We had 40 years of memories, all of which turned into ashes. I spent my youth in this house. I cannot even turn around and look back." Yavuz Güler said, "We live in Seferihisar, my father-in-law and mother-in-law were in this house. We saw the smoke in the afternoon. They are also sick, they are very old. We evacuated them after the smoke spread. We watched our house burn live on television. We had my daughter and son's first birthdays here. They are now 30 and 32 years old. We had memories, all of which burned. I do not know if it could have been prevented, but fire burns where it falls."

FLAMES IN ANTALYA BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL
A fire broke out at around 06:00 in the forest in the Karadağ area of the Beyobası Neighborhood and Cumhuriyet Neighborhood of Gazipaşa.
Fire extinguishing teams were dispatched to the area upon notification of the surrounding people.
FIRE UNDER CONTROL
The forest fire that broke out in the Gazipaşa district of Antalya was brought under control at around 10:00 after 2.5 hours of work. Cooling efforts are ongoing in the region.
25 HECTARES OF AREA WERE DAMAGED
The fire, which broke out at around 06:00 in a forest covered with scrub and red pine trees between Beyobası Neighborhood and Cumhuriyet Neighborhood Karadağ location in Antalya Gazipaşa, was intervened by Gazipaşa Forest Management Directorate teams and Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Gazipaşa Fire Department teams from the land. 4 helicopters, 17 water trucks and 100 personnel took part in the extinguishing efforts. Forest Management Directorate teams from Alanya and Anamur districts were also reinforced in the efforts, and 2 TOMA teams also provided support. Some houses were evacuated due to the possibility of the fire spreading to residential areas.
The fire was brought under control after approximately 3 hours of fighting by the teams. According to initial findings, 25 hectares of olive groves in the forest covered with maquis and red pine were damaged in the fire. The cause of the fire, which is still under cooling efforts, is being investigated.
'OUR COOLING EFFORTS CONTINUE'
Gazipaşa District Governor Selami Korkutata, who conducted an inspection at the scene of the fire, said, "The fire that broke out in the Karadağ region of our district covered an area of 25 hectares. The fire was extinguished in approximately 3 hours of intensive work by 4 helicopters, 17 water trucks and 100 personnel. Fire was also detected in residential areas and citizens were evacuated. The fire is now under control. Our cooling efforts are continuing." (DHA)
EXTENT OF DAMAGE IN GALLERIES SITE: OUR WAREHOUSE, OUR OFFICES, EVERYTHING IS GONE
Some workplaces and 25 vehicles were damaged in the fire that started in a forest area in the Gaziemir district of Izmir yesterday and spread to the gallery dealers' site.
The Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and firefighters have started damage assessment work in the region.
'THE SITUATION HERE WAS VERY BAD YESTERDAY'
İZOKOM Automobile Exchange Dealers Site President Ethem Hiçüşenmez, in his statement to reporters, said that the fire had spread rapidly due to the wind.
Stating that they were happy that there was no loss of life, Hiçüşenmez said, "The situation was very bad here yesterday. We are still grateful. Our neighbor's building burned down with all its goods. We also lost 25 vehicles. Officials from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change came. Damage assessments are being made in the area. There was a severe storm. That's why it spread to the vehicles. Most of our shopkeepers were closed because it was a market. We pulled the vehicles as much as we could."
