Suspicion of a natural gas leak in Kocaeli

People in the area who noticed a gas smell coming from the natural gas box at the entrance of a 5-storey apartment building on Yüzbaşılar Street in the Değirmendere Yüzbaşılar Neighbourhood of Gölcük district reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Centre.

Following the report, paramedics, police, fire department, and natural gas teams were dispatched to the scene. Arriving at the scene, the teams evacuated the apartment residents. After the necessary procedures were completed, the residents were allowed to return to their apartments.
