The 9th Kadıköy Record Days begins

The ninth annual Record Days, organized by the Kadıköy Municipality on September 6-7, will commemorate the master artist Edip Akbayram, who passed away last March. The event, held at the Kalamış Atatürk Park Event Area, will feature booths from record stores across Istanbul, bringing together collectors and music enthusiasts.

The event, where record lovers will have the opportunity to access many old and new records, will also include concerts, talks, autograph sessions and DJ performances.

SPECIAL INTERVIEW WITH EDİP AKBAYRAM

On the second day of the event, Sunday, September 7th, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, musician Metin Özülkü and music writer Murat Meriç will host a talk titled "Anatolian Rock's Anatolian Star: Edip Akbayram." Attendees will be able to tour record stands while listening to Akbayram's popular songs.

DJ PERFORMANCES FOR TWO DAYS

As part of Kadıköy Record Days, music lovers will be treated to two days of delightful DJ performances. Artists such as Deniz Bankal, Volkan Judocu, Kaan Düzarat, Agop Çekmen, Murat Meriç, and Grand Bazaar (Romain & Gül) will be performing at the festival. Additionally, visually impaired academic Prof. Dr. Alper Kaliber, known for his academic work in international relations, will be performing a selection of vinyl records.

SIGNING DAYS WITH FAMOUS ARTISTS

At the event, the "Now 90's" group, consisting of Şevval Sam, Mavi Sakal, Sibel Alaş, Jale, Hazal, and Erdal Çelik, will meet with fans at autograph sessions for "Mojave" and "Jakuzi." Additionally, the Anatolian pop group "Miskinler" will perform on Saturday, September 6th at 8:00 PM.

RING voyages

The Kadıköy Municipality will be organizing free shuttle services for the 9th Kadıköy Record Days. The shuttles will depart from the Söğütlüçeşme Metrobus stop and the Kadıköy Rıhtım Haldun Taner Stage stops on Saturday, September 6th at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 7:00 PM. On Sunday, September 7th, shuttle services will be available from the same stops at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM. The festival will be open from noon to 10:00 PM on September 6th and 7th.
