He went to the hospital complaining of weakness! A tick came out of his stomach
A woman living in Kahramanmaraş applied to the hospital due to complaints of increasing weakness, fatigue and various discomforts in her body in recent days. The health team, who noticed redness and swelling in the abdomen during the first examination, referred the patient to the dermatology department. In the detailed examination conducted by Dermatology Specialist Dr. Mehmet Alataş, a tick was detected attached to the woman's belly button. After the tick was successfully removed by the specialist doctor, the patient was put under observation. It was determined that the tick did not transmit any infection, and it was learned that there was no serious health problem in the examinations. The patient was discharged after the intervention and quickly regained her former health.
"LET'S NOT REMOVE THE TICK WITH OUR HAND"Dr. Alataş said, "We should be careful when walking in gardens, vineyards and parks, especially among tick protection methods. We should definitely pull our socks up to our ankles. Let's check our bodies when we get home. If a tick is attached, let's apply to the nearest health institution. Let's not remove the tick with our hands. It is necessary to remove the tick by rotating it with a special tool like tweezers, without spilling the vomit inside. The job is not over when you remove it. The patient should be observed for 10 days. It is not a case we see often in our city, but a week ago, our patient came with a complaint of shingles, we checked and removed the tick. We made the necessary interventions. Our patient did not have Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF). The important thing here is to follow the patient's blood level, fever and general condition during the follow-up period in the case of a tick bite."
