Regular consumption of walnuts offers significant health benefits. They are beneficial for intestinal and brain health, and they also improve sperm quality.

The countless benefits of walnuts have been revealed, and new ones have emerged. According to research published in the journal "Nutrients," scientists at the University of South Australia found that walnuts reduce stress levels, strengthen mental balance, and improve sleep quality.

Experts emphasize that this effect stems from the positive effects walnuts have on the gut microbiota. As is well known, gut microflora is directly linked to mood and psychological health. While negative changes can increase stress levels, walnuts' nutrients help maintain this balance.

It emerged as a result of a 16-week experiment.

The 80 students who participated in the study were divided into two groups. The first group consumed a set amount of walnuts daily for 16 weeks. The second group maintained their normal diet. The results showed that the walnut-consuming students experienced improved mental health indicators, improved sleep patterns, and improved overall mood.

In contrast, levels of stress and depression, especially before the exam, increased sharply in the group that did not eat walnuts.
