Workers won in Buca

The work stoppage that began in Buca Municipality over the non-payment of April and May salaries, meal cards and collective bargaining agreement differences ended on the ninth day.
Buca Mayor Görkem Duman announced on social media that they had taken a significant step toward resolving the salary payment issue following discussions with the General-Labor Union's Izmir Branch No. 6. Duman explained that the resulting decline in municipal revenue and the impact of past debts have led to disruptions in service due to the difficulties faced by employees.
"As a result of the agreement we reached with DİSK Genel-İş Branch No. 6, the work stoppage in our municipality has ended today. As the municipal administration, we will continue to take the necessary precautions to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future."
