London police investigate downtown shooting, no injuries reported

London police are investigating a shooting in broad daylight downtown on Friday afternoon.

Around 2:45 p.m., police were called to Piccadilly Street near Talbot Street, where they said they found "gunshot-related damage."

There were no reported injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, and has been reassigned to the London police guns and gangs section. Friday's shooting was the second incident of gunfire in a week.

On Monday morning, a house and vehicle were damaged by gunshots in the Fox Hollow neighbourhood in northwest London, police said.

There have now been more than a dozen shootings in the city this year.

Police are asking anyone with information related to Friday's incident, including those with dash-cam, residential or business video surveillance of the area, to contact them at 519-661-5670 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
