Police watchdog investigating after Woodfield crash sends 4 to hospital

Police watchdog investigating after Woodfield crash sends 4 to hospital

Four people were sent to hospital Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash near the city's core, London police said.

The crash happened at around 3 p.m. in the area of William Street and Queens Avenue, and area roads were still closed for the morning rush on Thursday.

The province's police watchdog, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), is involved in the investigation, police said. It is not yet known why the SIU is involved.

Police have not said who was sent to hospital, or the types of injuries sustained by the people involved.

The corner of Adelaide and Queens is busy with people camping on the lawn of the London Cares facility that offers meal and healthcare services.
