On September 3, Mother Monster released her new single, “The Dead Dance,” to coincide with the premiere of Netflix‘s Wednesday season 2, part 2, in which she makes a long-awaited appearance. And the track is appropriately spooky. In the chorus, she sings, “’Cause when you killed me inside, that’s when I came alive / Yeah, the music’s gonna bring me back from death / I’m dancin’ until I’m dead / I’ll dance until I’m dead.”

The black-and-white music video, directed by Tim Burton, is equally eerie, featuring Gaga dancing among creepy baby dolls and zombie-like creatures.

In Wednesday, Gaga stars as Rosaline Rotwood, “a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday,” according to Netflix.
