Addison Rae Wore a Custom Painted Dress Resembling her Album Cover
Addison Rae is celebrating the release of her debut album, Addison, by hosting special listening parties, giving the ultimate pop girl performances, and wearing outfits inspired by her music.
On Thursday, June 5, Rae hosted an exclusive album release party and performance at the infamous New York City institution, The Box, co-hosted by Spotify. The burgeoning pop diva took the stage first in a bed, before emerging from the covers to perform seven songs from her album at the burlesque club. Before taking the stage, Rae posed for photos at the venue wearing a dress made just for the occasion.
Interview Magazine's fashion director Dara Allen shared photos of Rae on Instagram after the Spotify event, explaining that she hand-painted the dress she wore for the event. The minidress was created and built by Matthew Neff, while Allen painted the swirling yellow, orange, and green design. The dress was inspired by the Addison album art, which features a photo of Rae in a dreamy mixture of the same colors.
Rae paired the dress with a pair of white slip-on Louboutins and wore her dyed blonde hair wavy past her shoulders. She kept her glam simple and pretty with a bold lip and sculpted eyebrows.

Addison Rae did not wear the dress to perform, but instead posed for photos on the stage at The Box — including a cheeky picture with just her leg peaking out from behind the red curtain.
The intimate performance was a hit, as described by Teen Vogue editor P. Claire Dodson: “The deliciously sweaty atmosphere of naughty pop music, of witnessing a star come into her power on stage for the first time. Addison, fully in her body, digging her hips into the beat like she owned it, grinning and winking all the while.”
