Storm, wind and hail alert in Milan: parks closed for Sunday 6 July

Milan parks will be closed on Sunday, July 6. This was decided by the local crisis unit, which met late Saturday afternoon, due to the orange criticality warning for storm risk issued by the Functional Risk Monitoring Center of the Lombardy Region. The forecast of heavy rain , hail and strong gusts of wind led to the prudential decision.
Parks closedIn particular, fenced parks will not be opened, and during the day it will be evaluated whether to reopen them or not, depending on positive or negative changes in the forecasts. As for non-fenced parks and gardens, the Municipality strongly advises all citizens not to go there. Cemeteries are expected to close early in the afternoon.
The tipsFinally, the usual advice applies: pay attention near the areas at risk of flooding of the two rivers, Lambro and Seveso, and underpasses. In particular, due to the wind, it is recommended not to stop under or near trees and near construction site scaffolding, outdoor areas and tents. It is necessary to ensure the safety of objects and vases on balconies and all artefacts that can be moved by bad weather. It is also important to pay attention to weather phenomena during outdoor events, in order to prevent dangerous situations.
