Fear that AI will take over your job? For some starters, this is already the case. Research shows that the job market is a lot harder for them than it was a year ago. Of all vacancies last quarter, only 9.2% were aimed at people with little work experience, compared to 14.4% a year earlier. Artificial intelligence is one of the culprits; but there is more to it, says editor Jildou Beiboer.

In the US, asset managers are being restricted in their ability to influence the climate and social policies of listed companies. The SEC wants to prevent 'woke capitalism' from gaining the upper hand. But many companies are not happy. Partly because large investors no longer say how they will vote at shareholder meetings. The Blokker family was in court last year because of an internal conflict about the family assets. Widow Els Blokker and her sons Erwin and Mark could not agree on how that money should be managed.
