Attack in the city center. Police are searching for the attacker from Tarnów.

"A 17-year-old was injured with a sharp object during an altercation that took place on Friday evening in the center of Tarnów," local police spokesman Kamil Wójcik told polsatnews.pl. He added that the attacker was a 30-year-old who fled. "An intensive search for the man is underway," the officer said.

- On Friday after 10 p.m. in the center of Tarnów, a 30-year-old man had an altercation with a group of five people - the spokesman for the Tarnów police, junior cadet Kamil Wójcik, told polsatnews.pl.

- During the fight, the man took out a sharp instrument, most likely a knife, and wounded the 17-year-old - he added.

The spokesman said the teenager was stabbed in the stomach. "He was taken to hospital. His life is not in danger," he noted.

"The attacker fled the scene. Witnesses reported that the man had black hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and pants . He was wearing white shoes," the police officer said.
