Tragic accident on the S7 expressway. Three people, including a child, died.

Two adults and a child died in a Sunday morning accident on the S7 expressway in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Police reported that a passenger car crashed into a semi-trailer parked on the emergency lane near Nidzica. Only one person in the car survived the accident and was taken to hospital.

The accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday on the S7 expressway between Nidzica and Napierki . According to Interia, there were four people in the passenger car that rear-ended a semi-trailer parked on the emergency lane.

As a result of the accident, three people lost their lives : a child and two adults. Junior Asst. Alicja Pepłowska of the Nidzica police said that one of the car's passengers was taken to the hospital .

The S7 expressway towards Warsaw is blocked , and emergency services are diverting traffic. It's currently unclear when the expressway will reopen. The disruptions are expected to last at least several more hours.
