Terrible fire in Chorzów. A woman jumped out of a window, one person burned to death.

According to the Provincial Crisis Management Center in Katowice, the report from 12:46 a.m. on Saturday concerned a fire on Morcinka Street in Chorzów, a district of Chorzów II.

An apartment on the third floor of a five-story building was on fire .

According to information from WCZK, before the fire brigade arrived , a 68-year-old woman jumped out of the window of the apartment where the fire broke out and was then taken to hospital by the emergency medical team.

Seventeen people were evacuated from the building.

The District Building Inspector in Chorzów was on site. The entire section of the building where the fire originated was temporarily closed . Its occupants found temporary shelter with family, and one person was accommodated in a hotel. Two adjacent sections were restored to use.
