Fluminense will have changes once again to try to get back on its feet this season. This Wednesday (30), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), Tricolor faces Internacional at Beira-Rio, in Porto Alegre, for the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil.

Winless since returning from the FIFA Club World Cup, Renato Gaúcho's team is under pressure and will try a new format to seek results away from home. To achieve this, the coach will likely rely on the return of experienced players like Germán Cano and Samuel Xavier to the starting lineup.

Another new addition could be Paulo Henrique Ganso, who is vying for a spot in midfield. The main question mark regarding the lineup is the defensive system: with the absence of Ignácio, one of the pillars of the three-man defense, Renato is still considering whether to return to the traditional 4-4-2 or maintain the three-man defense.

The coach is expected to reinforce the midfield due to the absence and field two lines of four for Fluminense. Thus, the likely Fluminense lineup includes: Fábio; Samuel Xavier, Thiago Silva, Freytes, and Renê; Bernal, Martinelli, Nonato (Hércules), and Ganso; Serna (Soteldo), and Cano.

In addition to qualifying for the quarterfinals, whoever advances in the match will be guaranteed a prize of R$4.74 million.
