Gianecchini to host opening of Italian Film Festival

Italian-Brazilian actor Reynaldo Gianecchini was announced this Wednesday (15) as master of ceremonies for the official opening of the 20th edition of the Italian Film Festival.

The event will take place on October 28th, at the Ibirapuera Auditorium, and will bring together several personalities from Brazil and Italy, as well as Italian authorities and businesspeople from the sector, to celebrate the best of cinema from the "Belpaese".

"I'm very happy to be participating in the Italian Film Festival. Firstly, because I'm very connected to Italian culture and people, and also because festivals are always a great opportunity for integration and connection between people so that we can increasingly build good intercultural partnerships," celebrated "Gianne."

With a career spanning more than two decades, the actor - who began his career in theater with the play "Cacilda" - has built a remarkable resume on TV, film and theater.

Her debut in soap operas took place in 2000, as the protagonist in "Family Ties". Since then, she has collected prominent characters in plots such as "Esperança" (2002), "Da Cor do Pecado" (2004), "Belíssima" (2005), "Sete Pecados" (2007), "Passione" (2010), "Guerra dos Sexos" (2012), "Em Família" (2013), "Verdades Secretas" (2015), "A Lei do Amor" (2016) and "A Dona do Pedaço" (2019).

In film, he starred in films such as "Avassaladoras," "Sexo com Amor?", "Entre Lençóis," "Divã," and "Primo Basílio." More recently, he starred in the feature film "Uma Família Feliz" alongside Grazi Massafera and played the villain Matias in the second season of the Netflix series "Bom Dia, Verônica."

In theater, Gianecchini also maintains an active career, with works such as "Vossa Excelência", "Candidato" and "Brilho Eterno" (2022), reinforcing his versatility and remarkable presence in Brazilian performing arts.

Next Friday (17), the actor premieres "A Very Special Day", a theatrical adaptation of the Italian classic "Una Giornata Particolare" (1977), by Ettore Scola. The show arrives at the Teatro Sérgio Cardoso, in São Paulo, to reaffirm its strong connection with the "Belpaese".
