Japan is at risk of another strong earthquake within the next week, the National Meteorological Administration has warned residents.

Local seismologists predict that the next earthquake could be similar in strength to the one that occurred on November 9.

In this regard, residents of the country and tourists are called upon to be vigilant.

As a reminder, a powerful earthquake struck northeastern Japan on November 9. Its magnitude was initially estimated at 6.5, but was later raised to 6.9. The tremor generated small tsunamis off the country's coast.
