Artem Timofeev, who, according to law enforcement, may be involved in the drone attack in the Irkutsk region, had significant debts and credit obligations in Russia. This was discovered by RIA Novosti after reviewing materials related to the activities of the alleged terrorist attack participant, who is listed as a terrorist and extremist.

According to the data obtained, Timofeev took out several large loans but subsequently stopped making payments. As a result, his debt exceeded 100,000 rubles. Earlier, in August, RIA Novosti reported that the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of the Russian Federation had frozen Timofeev's accounts, which was also confirmed by the legal documents database.

As a reminder, on June 1, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported a series of terrorist attacks using FPV drones carried out by the Ukrainian side at airfields in several Russian regions, including the Murmansk and Irkutsk regions. Attacks on airfields in other regions were successfully repelled. In the Irkutsk region, according to regional governor Igor Kobzev, the drones were launched from a truck, which was subsequently blocked and destroyed.

The day after the incident, the Ust-Kut city administration issued a wanted notice for Artem Timofeev, indicating his possible involvement in the attack on the Belaya military airfield. On June 5, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs placed him on the federal wanted list, and two days later, so did his wife, Ekaterina. On June 10, Rosfinmonitoring added the Timofeevs to its list of terrorists and extremists.

Incidents involving drone attacks on military installations are becoming increasingly common. Investigations into such cases often include an analysis of the suspects' financial situation and personal circumstances. Financial difficulties, such as large debts and loans, can be considered as a possible motive for committing crimes, including those related to terrorism. In this case, information about Artem Timofeev's debts adds to the body of information used by law enforcement agencies during the investigation.
