Copper cable theft worth 6 million TL in Kocaeli: 3 people caught

Kocaeli Provincial Police Department teams have launched a comprehensive study into the recent increase in theft incidents in the district. Teams who tracked down 5 separate theft incidents that occurred in İzmit determined that high-value items, mostly copper cables and various construction materials, were stolen.

Following technical and physical surveillance, the suspects GY, FY and EEY, who were identified as the perpetrators of the incident, were captured in an operation. The detained suspects were referred to the Kocaeli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after their procedures at the police station were completed.

It was reported that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
