Meteorology issued an orange alert! Heavy rain in Fatsa caused flooding

Following the orange code warning of the General Directorate of Meteorology, a downpour took hold in Fatsa in the evening hours. With the rain, the streets and avenues in the district center turned into a lake, some houses were flooded. The rain, which lasted about 15 minutes, negatively affected life, and vehicles had difficulty moving in some areas. Municipal teams started working in the district. Teams are carrying out water drainage work in the areas where the negative situation occurred with construction equipment.

Heavy rain caused flooding in Fatsa (DHA)

Fatsa Mayor İbrahim Etem Kibar, in a post he shared on his social media account, warned citizens to be careful against negativities such as floods, inundations and lightning strikes. Kibar called on people not to go out unless necessary.

According to the warning from the meteorology, rainfall is expected to continue.
