A giant congress of 121 sessions from TSBD

The Turkish Social Sciences Association (TSBD), in collaboration with METU and Çankaya Municipality, is preparing to hold the 18th National Social Sciences Congress. The congress, which will take place from September 24th to 26th, will begin at 9:30 am at the METU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS). METU Rector Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, METU FEAS Dean Oktay Fırat Tanrısever, and TSBD President Galip Yalman will deliver the opening remarks of the congress, followed by Yılmaz Akyüz's work titled "Investment, Industrialization, and Foreign Capital: Myth and Reality." Later, as part of the Young Social Scientists Award Ceremony, the Behice Boran Special Award will be presented. The congress, which will feature discussions by more than 400 academics from various universities in 121 sessions spread over three days, will reflect on social sciences and academic problems.
