During the work, specialists cleared and restored the white-stone cladding of the facades, dismantled the staircases and their landings. In addition, they replaced the old wooden structures of the canopy of the walkway (including the roof and masonry elements). "We are restoring the bridge gazebos-pavilions," Biryukov continued. "And restoring the stone cladding, architectural decor and structural elements."
The water intake wells and their grates on the bridge's walkway, as well as the drainage pipes and waterproofing, are subject to replacement. In addition, the specialists involved in the project will strengthen the masonry and completely renew the engineering systems.
